
Management
The managing directors Dipl. Ing. Architect Eckhardt Hartmann and Dipl. Ing. Architect Ulrich Helm are graduates of the University of Architecture and Building Weimar, today Bauhaus University Weimar. We practice lean leadership – only those who actively shape changes can achieve top results. The next generation of managers is already being integrated into the management team in order to further increase the competence of the employees.

Employees
Our well-trained, motivated and motivated employees are the most important potential for high-quality processing of projects. For responsible and committed action, we offer our 35 – 40 employees skills and scope in project work and for the respective tasks a constant transfer of knowledge and continuous training.

Company history
Our office was founded as an architectural office on May 1st, 1991 by Eckhardt Hartmann and Ulrich Helm. In 1998 the architecture office was transferred to Hartmann + Helm Planungsgesellschaft mbH. After continuous growth, we employ an average of 36 people at our main office in Weimar, our branch in Berlin and our branch in Dresden.

Prizes and awards
With the founding of our architecture office, the guiding principle in our corporate culture was and is – nothing is as constant as the change and the associated further development. Following this principle, we have always placed great value on the further development of the architectural quality of our projects in our long, medium and short-term goals, always based on benchmarking and analysis of our own abilities and skills. We ensure further development, constant improvement and design quality by regularly participating in competitions. Consequently, we have been able to achieve prizes and awards for our work in recent years, and we have worked on attractive and concise architectural projects with competitive success.
We were awarded the “Thuringian State Prize for Architecture” and received recognition for the “Kaufhaus Schutzgassenplatz Weimar” project as part of the “Thuringian State Prize for Architecture”.

Company philosophy
Our company philosophy is our striving for constant further development of our corporate culture (corporate identity) and for perfecting our work with the aim of high quality architecture and usage of our projects. Our architecture combines creative design with user-oriented solutions. We place particular emphasis on economical, sustainable and energy-efficient planning. Our team of well-trained and motivated employees represents the most important value factor of the office and guarantees the professional implementation of the most diverse tasks. One of our unique selling points is our process management, which has been developed over the years and which is certified on the basis of DIN ISO 9001 – 2017 and is constantly being further developed to the currently changing framework conditions. We implement interdisciplinary requirements of various tasks and specialist areas with partnership-based cooperation and continuously expand our specialist competence in this process of integral planning.

Quality management
We work in a comprehensive and systematic process management. When defining the individual processes, the expected results become performance indicators for process control. A professional, structured and goal-oriented way of working is indispensable given today’s complexity of tasks and the large number of participants. We create flexibility through standardization in routine processes and the provision of scope for special questions.
